Jim Reeves Live
In Germany

Here are some LIVE concert recordings featuring Jim Reeves that have never been heard by American audiences. They were done during Jim's last tour of Europe in the Spring of 1964. Reeves, along with Bobby Bare, Chet Atkins and the Anita Kerr singers, toured the German Federal Republic and West Berlin, from which these performances are excerpted. The arrangements are very unique (when was the last time you heard "He'll Have to Go" done with a clarinet section?). Werner Muller and his orchestra provided the crisp, big-band sound, with plenty of woodwinds and brass. At the end of the show, Jim leads the cast in singing a traditional German farewell song. The audience reaction shows how enthusiastically the man with the velvet voice was received! He had a great time, too (except he complained privately about the German food! Ha.)
