WORLD EXCLUSIVE

NEW JIM REEVES EXHIBIT
AT THE TEXAS COUNTRY MUSIC
HALL OF FAME
IN CARTHAGE, TEX.

There are a number of interesting objects visable in this shot. On the left is Jim's Ampex tape machine that he had in his home studio, and that he used to record demos on, including his last song, "I'm A Hit Again," that made its world premier on VoiceMasters last year (and can be ordered HERE). Directly next to the tape machine is an old record-cutting lathe used to cut disks. Such were common in radio stations in that era. On the right is the KGRI transmitter. On the wall above are various awards given to Jim, and a clipping from a farm magazine in which Jim promoted Prince Albert pipe tobacco.

On a bench in the radio room are more of Jim's gold records -- these from South Africa. All awards, memorabilia, photographs and KGRI equipment in the radio room are on loan from the James Newberry collection.
