NEW JIM REEVES EXHIBIT
AT THE TEXAS COUNTRY MUSIC
HALL OF FAME
IN CARTHAGE, TEX.

Some of Jim's most prestigious gold and platinum record awards are on loan from James Newberry, and can be seen on the wall above the radio console. These include (above center) the award for "He'll Have to Go," along with pictures of Jim being presented the award at the Opry. There's also a "Distant Drums" award and others. Note a picture (partially obscured) on the wall that shows Jim in a cowboy hat at KGRI with a couple of his fellow deejays.

Here you see another glimpse of the radio room. On the wall is an exceedingly rare poster promoting "Fabor Robison presenting the Spring Music Show direct from the Louisiana Hayride, headlined by Jim Reeves and his Hayride Band" -- which pre-dates even the Wagonmasters or Blue Boys. This too is from the James Newberry collection.
